I love clean processing. Almost as much as I love my chai tea latte. These two go hand in hand, as I frequently (OK, almost always) sip my latte while processing client images. So much into clean processing am I, that I don’t use actions. Ever.
What?? I know, I know pick your chin up off the floor and hear me out. I have a particular editing style, which I achieve with 90% Lightroom adjustments and 10% Photoshop cosmetic enhancements. My clients like this style, I get repeat business…so I must be doing something right, yes??

The process was easy as pie. I sent Stacie my photo and told her that I love to process clean, but was interested in getting a few different styles from my actions. Color pop, hazes, filters to neutralize color tones, maybe a cool vintage look, etc. She sent me my bundle within a week and I was rocking out. Let me show you what I mean.
Everyone can see my ‘before’ photo has exposure issues, you don’t even need to put your glasses on. And while the colors had some life, certain elements of the photo could definitely stand out more. A lighten up here, a darken there, a color pop on the tie, add some haze, brush on my watermark (yeah, you heard me, coolest thing ever!) and literally in 3 minutes, I had a photo that was clean processed in my style, but my style is now LIGHTYEARS better. Big sip of chai, sigh, happiness. Best part, I can use these actions for different photos, I just need to optimize the actions for the different conditions. Need proof? Here is an indoor shot, processed using the same action set. The “old” me would have definitely spent more time fixing this shot than the new me did using the Colorvale Actions set.
