Teaching My Baby To Be An Entrepreneur

So today was bring your child to work day and I could not have been more excited when Tatum, my daughter, asked to work side by side with me and learn what it was like to own your own business.  I wanted to educate her on the pro’s and con’s because I think it’s important to be honest about the struggles and the benefits of each thing I teach her in life.  Part of her day included watching me make a freebie action set for Colorvale Actions, filing paper work, answering emails and writing me a report about her thoughts on owning a business.  Here is what she came up with:

One of the important things that Tatum learned today was that giving back to your clients should be a top priority.  I wanted her to understand that in life you can not just receive, you must also give!  Click here to download the action that Tatum developed with me for Colorvale Actions :)

Tatum, well done! If you truly have a passion in life and you pursue it with all that is within you, you can accomplish amazing things. Keep taking those notes on how your mom runs her business (good and bad) and you can’t lose. I wish you the best as you learn and grow.

I love this post. She sounds like a true leader, and definitely destined for big things in her future! And way to go, Mom, for being such an awesome example in her world.

Tatum, I can’t wait to see what business you launch in just a few years. Dream big!
